Archivissima, the first and only festival dedicated to archives, was born in 2018 from the success of La Notte degli Archivi (The Night of Archives), a format conceived by Promemoria Group, which in the two previous years had opened the doors of major Turin archives in the evening, reinterpreting their contents through the voices of prominent writers, journalists, and artists.

The festival's objective is to bring new audiences closer to the world of archives, inviting them to engage with a different theme each edition. Meetings, talks, shows, concerts, screenings, artistic performances, live streams, workshops, an exhibition, and a conference: these are the ingredients of an initiative that in a few years has established itself as a unique event of its kind in Europe, also thanks to important partnerships and the patronage of the Ministry of Culture, the Directorate General for Archives, and ANAI (National Association of Italian Archivists).
